Obituary of Rosalia Rose Ricci

Mrs. Rosalia "Rose" Ricci N. Utica - Mrs. Rosalia "Rose" Ricci, 88, of 458 Lee Blvd. passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 in her home with her family by her side. She was born in Stittville on March 9, 1928, the daughter of the late Floyd and Kathryn Sullivan Upright and she attended Holland Patent schools. She was married to Joseph Ricci on October 9, 1948 in St. Leo's Church, Holland Patent. Joseph passed away on August 30, 2014. Rose was employed by Univac, General Electric, MDS and Howard Johnson's. Joe and Rose were the owners and operators of the Ricci Family Farm, Schuyler for many years. She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church, N. Utica. Rose is survived by three daughters and two sons in law, Diane and Michael Sabourin of Virginia Beach, VA, Karen Arcuri of N. Utica and Kelly and Philip Fraccola of Jamesville; one son and daughter in law, Joseph and Raquel Ricci of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandchildren, Jennifer Fraccola, Philip Fraccola, Jillian Fraccola, Alexis Arcuri, Kayla and her husband, Matthew Brooks, Natasha Ricci and Hunter Ricci; four great grandchildren, Anna Belle Inserra, Christopher Inserra, Brycen Brooks, Bailey Brooks; and several nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, James Richard Ricci on April 15, 1971 and several brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service on Monday morning at 11:00 in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Elizabeth St and Adams St. Frankfort with the Rev. Mark Pasik, pastor of St. Mark's Church officiating. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort. Rose's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses of Hospice and Palliative Care and especially Mary Ellen Blom and to Dr. John Sperling for the wonderful care and compassion shown her during her illness and passing.
