Dr. Patricia D. Tashjian

Clifton Park - Dr. Patricia D. Tashjian, 59, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Saratoga Center for Rehab & Skilled Nursing.

She was born on Wednesday August 27, 1958 in Utica, the daughter of  Anthony and Catherine Murray Caruso.She attended Ballston Spa Schools and graduated from Ballston Spa High School with the class of 1976.  She went on to attend the University of Buffalo, Majoring in Occupational Therapy and graduated with the class of 1981. Later she attended and graduated from Illinois College of Optometry where she graduated with the class of 1988. Patricia was a self-employed optometrist in the Capital Region for many years.
Patricia is survived by her beloved children, Carly Tashjian of NYC and Benjamin Tashjian of Clifton Park; her mother, Catherine Caruso of Frankfort; one sister and brother in law, Karen and her husband Mark Schrock of Perrysburg, OH and several aunts, uncles  nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Anthony V. Caruso on September 26, 2015.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, 412 S. Frankfort St, Frankfort with the Rev. Paul Catena pastor, officiating. In keeping with Patricia's wishes, there will be no public calling hours. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort, NY 13340.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patricia's memory may be made to a college fund set up for her son Benjamin. Envelopes will be available through the funeral home.
