Chris taught us all to be passionate and generous. I miss him dearly, but have nothing but fond memories during and after school with Chris. I'll continue to cherish the time we had together.

I came across Chris's obituary in our alumni magazine and was hit hard. We lost a great one. I remember Chris's big personality as perfectly described in his obituary. Chris was always full of passion, a larger than life personality who lit up the room with his presence, but more than that, he was a true friend, and a fraternity brother. We shared big dreams, deep conversations, and good times together. Although it's been a long time since I saw him, I always felt like our paths would cross again once our adult lives settled down, we could resume our friendship right where we left off. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. I will cherish all the great memories I've had with Chris and he will be missed greatly. Heaven is now a livelier place for having Chris.

I just learned of Chris’s death from our alumni magazine. Although we haven’t seen each other for many years, I will never forget how kind Chris was to me when I was an awkward undergrad, feeling overwhelmed and out of place. Chris, who lived across the hall in my dorm, offered advice and perspective that I sorely needed. He was funny, insightful, and deeply generous. I remember him with gratitude and affection. I am so sorry for your family’s loss.

Man, this is a kick in the stomach, even though lost touch with him more than 20 years ago. I befriended him when he was a student at Princeton. I grew up in that town, and at the time was working for several profs. I had seen many students come and go, and there wasn't anything better than somebody that didn't fit the typical Princeton mold. I loved his sense of humor and the way he took the piss out of the "Princeton experience" with is wit and wry sense of humor. It wasn't just his conversational humor but his take on life and lived life on his terms.
To address bike theft on campus, the university had installed bike hooks in each dorm. Not having a bike, he put his bed underneath them, attached two rings through which was he threaded a chain with two leather/fur lined ankle straps that would pull up when he pulled the middle down. He left that installation there the whole time he lived in that dorm, like a mobile sculpture above a baby's crib. I remember a friend of his stopping by with a very typical, stiff preppy, looking girl all dressed up for some event. She was completely transfixed by them. She finally meekly asked what they were and without missing a beat he goes "Ankle straps, want to try them on?" while pulling the middle down. She was speechless! I don't think I ever laughed that hard in my life after they left. It was classic Chris. Forgive me if this seems rude for a note here, but I get the sense it's another example of his wit that the family indeed appreciated, judging by the obit. RIP Chris. You were great and quite a unique soul.

Our deepest sympathy to your family. I was shocked when my son, Sean Baker, told me of Christopher's death. Sean and Chris were friends in high school, and Chris lived with us for a brief time. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I ran into Chris a few years ago when back in CNY and he was the same good natured and solid all around guy I remember from high school. I feel lucky to have gone through my formative years along side him.

We first met Chris several years ago during a visit to his mom, Genevieve, with whom I had attended Whitesboro High School. He was a good-looking, broad-shouldered young man with an engaging smile. My husband and I admired Chris's art work as well as his professional success, but most of all the equanimity and courage he displayed in the face of medical adversity. Intelligent, courteous, sensitive - even a touch of irony - these are the attributes we noted in Chris during our visits to Clinton and for which he will always be remembered. We pray for his loving and devoted mother and for his entire extended family. With all our love, Esther and David
