Mrs. Lucy Tocco Frankfort - Mrs. Lucy Tocco, 94, of 3802 Southside Rd passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with her devoted family by her side. She was born in Rochester on March 17, 1913, the daughter of the late Louis and Angeline Cannarosa Blandino and she attended schools there. She was married to Frank J. Tocco Jr on September 30, 1933 in Annunciation Church, Rochester. Her loving husband, Frank passed away on May 29, 2003 after 70 years of marriage. The couple came to Frankfort shortly after their marriage to raise their family. Lucy was Beautician for Starlight Beauty Salon, Utica for many years until her retirement in 1965. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and had a great devotion to Our Blessed Mother and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was a member of the Addolorata Society, Columbiana Society and the North Utica Senior Center where she had many friends. Lucy was a kind, gentle, sweet and elegant lady. She always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes. Whenever anyone would meet her they would always comment on how bright and beautiful her blue eyes were. She would light up a room when she walked into it. Everyone loved "Lucy." Lucy is survived by three daughters & sons in law, Florie T. & James Scarchilli of Utica, Angie & Charles Caiola of Frankfort and Dr. Carol & Sam Lo Vullo of West Seneca; her grandchildren, Deborah & Michael Cole of CA, James & Ella Caiola of Frankfort, Cecilia & Ron Bolar of TX, James & Dina Scarchilli of Whitesboro, Frank & Deborah Scarchilli of Sauquoit, Frank Caiola of CA, Kristen Lo Vullo of New York City; her cherished great grandchildren, Anthony Cole, Justin Cole, Michael Cole, Nicole Bolar, Jake Bolar, Jimmy Scarchilli, Anthony Scarchilli, Julia Caiola and Brooke Lynn Scarchilli of Sauquoit. Lucy is also survived by her in laws, Marion Wetmore and Patsy & Florence DeLuca all of Utica and Joseph Tocco of Frankfort; her nieces and nephews, Jody Potenza, Angie & Paul Ferrara, Carm & John Loysen, Louis & Arlene Polizzi, Barbara & Butch Juliano, Kevin & MaryJo Carey, Provie & Sam Bono, Frank & Liz Tocco, Joe & Barbara Tocco, Anne & Glenn Asnoe, Patt & John Barkett, Donald & Diane DeLuca, Frank Tocco, Victor Tocco; her friends at Georgeann's Beauty Shop, Georgeann Christman, Florida Provenzano, Antoinette Pianella and Antoinette Amendolare and several cousins. She was predeceased by three sisters, Angeline Polizzi, Rose Passintino and Jeanette Coniglio and three brothers, Samuel Blandino, Joseph Blandino and Michael Blandino and her in laws, Mary Jane Spina, Kenneth Wetmore, Victor & Catherine Tocco and Theresa Tocco Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:00 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 9:30 am in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 3-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Addolorata Society will meet Friday evening at 7:00 at the funeral home for services. Contributions in Lucy's memory maybe made to the Addolorata Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Lucy's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. LaGrant, Dr. Blaker, Lisa Ennis, Dr. Sloan and the nurses and staff of the Fifth Floor of Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion they gave to her. Heartfelt thanks to her wonderful and loving caregivers, Helen Young, Lillian Cross, Gail Maggiolino, Evelyn Rockerfellow and Liz Sweet, who treated her and loved her like their own mother.
