Little Falls - Mrs. Joyce M. York, 68, of State Route 167, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in Bassett Health Care, Cooperstown, with her family by her side. She was born in Ilion on March 22, 1948, the daughter of the late Salvatore "Sam" and Julia "Judy" Walawender Palumbo. She attended Frankfort Schools, graduating from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1966. Joyce later attended HCCC, graduating with her degree in Computer Programing. She was married to Edward York on July 3, 1982 in Christ Lutheran Church in Little Falls. Joyce was employed with Carlo Masi in their Order Entry Department in Little Falls for many years. Joyce and Ed loved spending their time at Turning Stone Casino and at other casinos throughout the country. Joyce is survived by her beloved husband, Edward York; her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Mayme Palumbo of Frankfort; one sister in law, Frances Dickson of Levittown, PA; five step-children; twelve grandchildren; two aunts and one uncle and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Congetta Palumbo and Lorraine Palumbo. Her funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with the Rev. Robert Wollaber, officiating. Calling hours will be Saturday morning October 8th from 10:00 AM until the time of services in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
