Obituary of Herbert Shoen

Herbert "Herb" Shoen, 89, of Thomasville, Georgia, went home to be with our Lord on January 20, 2015 while at Archbold Medical Center. Herb was born on November 15,1925, the son of the late Walter and Helen (Hill) Shoen. He was united in marriage to Jacqueline Alice Tyo on April 14, 1951. Herb worked at Nehr Chevrolet in Ilion and was a member of the Town of Frankfort Police Department. He later went to work at Remington Arms in Ilion, New York and retired after 30 years. Herb enjoyed riding four wheelers, spending time at camp and fishing on Piseco Lake. He was a member of the Moose Club and among the founders of the Kettle Beaver Club. Herb is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Alice Shoen, daughter and son-in-law Terry and Bruce Fawley, daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Richard Marsh, granddaughter and grandson-in-law Tracy and John Main, grandson Christian Stepien, granddaughter Tricia Fletcher, granddaughter Nicole Stepien, great-grandchildren Conner Stepien, John Charles Main and Ryleigh Fletcher. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Helen Shoen, his sister Betty Leventure, and brother Alan Shoen. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 10:00am at the Oak View Cemetery in Frankfort, New York. Arrangements are under the direction of the V.J.
