Herkimer - Mr. Ezzio "Bim" Macrina, 88, long time resident of Park Lane Dr Herkimer passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Vestavia, Alabama in the Chateau Vestavia with his family by his side.
He was born in Herkimer on March 15, 1926, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Scalise Macrina and attended Herkimer schools. He served with the US Army during World War II. Bim was married to Helen Kryniak on August 9, 1947 in Herkimer. Helen passed away on January 24, 2013. He was employed by Univac, Ilion plant for many years and later was a Supervisor of Inventory Control and Warehouse Management for M D S, Herkimer. He was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church and a member Tony R. George Post #6.
Bim is survived by one son and daughter in law, Dr. David and Nancy Macrina of Hoover, AL; one granddaughter, Kimberly and her husband, Jason Tingle; one grandson, Daniel Macrina; two great grandchildren, Abigail Tingle and Alex Tingle and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Clara Perrucci and three brothers, John Macrina, Frank Macrina and Nicholas Macrina.
His funeral will be held at a later date. Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Bim's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St.Herkimer.
