Herkimer - Frankfort - Mrs. Rose D. Iocovozzi Seppi, 87, of 126 Mary St. formerly of Frankfort passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 in her home with her family by her side. She was born in Frankfort on December 12, 1926, the daughter of the late Nunzio and Mary Terzo DiSano and she attended Ilion Schools, graduating from Ilion High School with the class of 1944, later Mildred Elley Secondary School, Albany and the College of St. Rose, graduating Cum Laude with the class of 1950 with high honors in Business and English. Rose was married to Vincent J. Iocovozzi on January 27, 1951 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Vince was the owner and operator of V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. He passed away on February 1, 1973. She was later married to Frank Seppi on March 1, 1981 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Frank passed away on November 20, 1997. Following Vince's death, Rose was the president of V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Frankfort, Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, Herkimer and Forget-Me-Not Pet Memorialization and Cremation Service, Herkimer. She was a communicant Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Columbianna Society, Addolorata Society and one of founders of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens. Rose will always be remembered as a loving and caring woman who served those in need. She loved to travel and visited all seven continents and the North and South Poles. Rose is survived by two daughters, Mary Iocovozzi of Herkimer and Geralyn M. Iocovozzi of Syracuse; three sons, Damiano J. Iocovozzi of Palm Springs, CA, Cosmas Iocovozzi of Newington, NH, Vincent De Paul Iocovozzi of Frankfort; one sister and brother in law, Violet and Joseph DiMaggio of Frankfort; five grandchildren, Alexander Zito, Marcus Zito, Vincent G. Iocovozzi, Gabe Iocovozzi and Matthew Iocovozzi; her in laws, Rose and Bennie Palmieri of Frankfort, John and Cookie Iocovozzi of FL, Celeste Iocovozzi of Savannah, GA and Angelo Long of Frankfort and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Nancy Christofaro and two brothers, Blase DiSano and 1st LT Onofrio DiSano USMC KIA Iwo Jima. Her funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9:15 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 and Wednesday, December 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 at V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
