Frankfort - Mrs. Margaret F. DeRusso, 89, of 240 Mann St. passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in Valley Health Services with her family by her side.
She was born in Frankfort on February 10, 1925, the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine DeSantis Cattat and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Angelo W. DeRusso on June 29, 1946 in St. Mary's Church. Angelo passed away on September 22, 1979. Margaret was at one time employed by Univac, Utica plant and later by ICL, Utica and retired from the cafeteria at Frankfort-Schuyler Central School for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church
Margaret is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Anthony and Maryann DeRusso of Frankfort and Eugene and Deborah DeRusso of E. Herkimer; two granddaughters and their husbands, Toni and Michael Entwistle and Melissa and Peter Richardson; two great-grandsons, Brandon Entwistle and Joey Richardson; one sister in law, Jenny DiPerna of Utica and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Genevieve Bianchi.
Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, from 4-8 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
