N. Utica - Mr. Joseph Ricci, 94, of 458 Lee Blvd. passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 in St. Luke's Home with his family by his side.
He was born in Utica on March 29, 1920, the son of the late Pasquale and Maria Clemente Ricci and he attended Utica schools. He was married to Rose Upright on October 9, 1948 in St. Leo's Church, Holland Patent. Joseph and Rose were the owners and operators of the Ricci Family Farm, Schuyler for many years.
He was a communicant of St. Mark's Church, N. Utica.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Rose Ricci; three daughters and two sons in law, Diane and Michael Sabourin of Virginia Beach, VA, Karen Arcuri of N. Utica and Kelly and Philip Fraccola of Jamesville; one son and daughter in law, Joseph and Raquel Ricci of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother, Anthony Ricci of Frankfort; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Fraccola, Philip Fraccola, Jillian Fraccola, Alexis Arcuri, Kayla and Matthew Brooks, Natasha Ricci and Hunter Ricci; four great-grandchildren, Anna Belle Inserra, Christopher Inserra, Brycen Brooks and Bailey Brooks and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, James Richard Ricci on April 15, 1971 and several brothers and sisters.
His funeral will be held at the convenience of his family with Fr. Mark Pasik, pastor of St. Mark's Church officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort.
