Mr. Donald A. Jones Frankfort - Mr. Donald A. Jones, 78, of 2399 Broad St passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Utica on April 17, 1936, the son of the late Evan and Elizabeth Cunningham Jones and he attended Utica schools. Don served in the Navy following his schooling. He was married to Nancy Wendell on May 12, 1962 in Trinity Episcopal Church, Utica. Don was employed as the Garage Foreman for Central New York Coach lines, Utica for many years and following his retirement he was a guard at Walmart, N. Utica. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and the V.F.W Post, Frankfort. Donald is survived by his beloved wife Nancy Jones; one son, Donald W. Jones and his companion, Ellen Cioch of Frankfort; one granddaughter, Brandee Nicole Jones of Frankfort and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Heidi Beth Jones on June 6, 2005, four brothers, Bruce Jones, Gordon Jones, Peter Jones and Brian Jones. His funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with Rev. Robert Burge, officiating. Interment will be in West Schuyler Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 5 from 4-8 at V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
