Newport - Mrs. Sandra L. Sebastian, 68, of Rose Valley Rd. passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 in Little Falls Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Ilion on July 10, 1945, the daughter of the late Katherine Finnegan and step daughter of the late Jerome Shields. She attended and graduated from Ilion High School and went on to attend the Utica School for Practical Nurses. She was married to Donald Sebastian on April 7, 1962 in Annunciation Church. Sandra was an LPN for Mohawk Valley General Hospital in Ilion for many years. She was of the Catholic Faith. Sandra is survived by her beloved husband Donald Sebastian; one son, Delbert Sebastian of Mohawk; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Donald M. Sebastian Jr. and one daughter, Donna Foster. Her funeral will be held privately at the convenience of her family. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer.
