Frankfort - Mr. John R. Caruso, 63, of 400 S. Litchfield St. passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with his family by his side.
John was born in Ilion on December 29, 1949, the son of the late George J. Sr. and Florence A. Torchia Caruso and he attended Frankfort schools.
He was employed as an Assembler for Remington Arms in Ilion for many years. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort and a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Clayville.
John is survived by one brother, George Caruso, Jr. of Frankfort; his aunts and uncles, Mary Caruso, Phyllis and James Caruso, Rosemary and Chuck Coppola, Elizabeth and Philip Tangorra and Agnes DiMaggio, all of Frankfort and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 PM in the All Souls Chapel of Mt. Olivet Cemetery where his funeral service will be celebrated by the Deacon James Bower. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no public calling hours.
