Obituary of Onoroto Ron Bommarito

Frankfort - Mr. Onoroto Ron Bommarito, 59, of 3900 St. Rt. 5 passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 14, 2013 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center from injuries sustained in a construction accident. He was born in Ilion on February 4, 1954, the son of the late Frank and Evelyn Farley Bommarito. He attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1972. He was married to Christine Williams on April 29, 2005 in Ft. Herkimer Church. Ron was at one time employed with Remington Arms Co. and later for the Town of Frankfort DPW. He was currently owner and operator of Ron's Contracting in Frankfort. He was a member of the St. Francis Di Paolo Society in Frankfort and the Friends of the Town of German Flatts Park. Ron is survived by his wife, Christine Bommarito; one son and daughter in law, Ronnie and Ginger Bommarito of Orefield, PA; one daughter and son in law, Cathryn and Art Lavallee of Horseheads; his step daughter, Patricia Dygert of Frankfort; four grandchildren, Ronnie Bommarito II, Natalie Bommarito, Christopher Lavallee and Zacory Lavallee; three sisters and brothers in law, Joanne and William Hazlet of Hartley, DE, Norene and Walter Ward of E. Herkimer and Josephine and Frederick Christensen of Frankfort and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Francis Butch Bommarito on March 24, 2008. His funeral will be held privately at the convenience of his family from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Saturday October 19, 2013 at 11:00 am in the All Soul's Chapel of Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Elizabeth St. Frankfort, NY. Contributions in Ron's memory may be made to St. Francis Di Paolo Society, 152 8th Ave., Frankfort, NY 13340 or to the Friends of the Town of German Flatts Park, P.O. Box 57, Mohawk, NY 13407.
