Mrs. Rose Maiolo
Herkimer - Mrs. Rose Maiolo, 86, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at Homelife at Folts.
Rose was born on January 5, 1931 in Herkimer, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Felicia Fiorentino Volpicello. She attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1948. Rose was married to Samuel Maiolo on June 21, 1952 in St. Anthony's Church, Herkimer. Sam passed away on Feburary 25, 2002. Rose was employed as a clerk for WT Grants, Loblaws and later for Great American, Herkimer for many years until her retirement in 1977. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony & Joseph's Church.
Rose is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predecesed by her beloved sisters and brothers in law, Louise Volpicello, Josephine and her husband, Rocco Losito, Corsignano Lena Volpicello, Anna Volpicello and Marie and her husband, John Fallon.
Her funeral will be held Saturday Morning at 9 am in Sts. Anthony & Joseph's Church, S. Main St. Herkimer, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Quy Vo. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer.
