Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Maryann Balaska who passed away Sunday. I have worked with Maryann at the Annunciation Rectory for some time now and we would always go to lunch after work was done and always have lots to visit about. I found Maryann to be a loving and caring mother to Rosanne, a meticulous housekeeper, very stylish in her dress, not afraid to say what was on her mind, and deeply devoted to and very knowledgeable about her Catholic faith. I will truly miss her honest ways and her friendship.

Maryann was a neighbor of our family when she was single. She went to school with my sister Marie Simonette; they used to walk to school together every day. She came to our house and was a mutual friend with Nancy Callahan. Just recently, she picked my wife and I up and we went to the Stanley to see the musical "Love Never Dies" and we went to dinner afterward. It was a nice evening and we had many laughs and talked about old times. We will miss her. We offer sympathy to all family members

Maryann and I were distant cousins. She was very friendly and kind. We went on many bus trips to Lancaster Pennsylvania and enjoyed the theatre. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Maryann and I graduated in the class of 1959. She was a good friend and we had many good times together. I lived on Reese Rd. and she on the corner of Main and Palmer when we were growing up. After dinner I would walk to her house and we would hang out.
She was a very caring person and grew her daughter up to be just like her. I know her daughter is hurting as they were very close and they were best friends, especially since her death was so unexpected. Rest in peace Maryann until we meet again.

I was a neighbor of Maryann when she was single. I lived two doors from her on Main St. She and my sister Marie Simonette Chaffee were good friends during high school and walked together to school every day. I also saw Maryann many times at Nancy Callahan's house. Nancy was a mutual friend of ours. Recently, my wife Geraldine and I went with Marianne to the Stanley Theatre to see a musical and we went to dinner afterward. We had a wonderful time with her and shared many memories and laughs. She said she was going to keep in touch. We were shocked by her sudden unexpected death. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to family members. May she rest in peace.

Maryann was a good friend of mine growing up together in Frankfort. She was a trusted and faithful friend who played an important part of my childhood and an influence on who I am. She was in our wedding and I was very happy that she was able to attend our 50th anniversary.
Even though I have not seen her on a daily basis, I feel her loss.

Maryann was a wonderful friend and neighbor for 34 years. We watched our children grow up together. My heart goes out to her amazing daughter, Rosanne. Maryann was always kind and generous. She was always ready to lend a helping hand whether it was folding a pool tarp or shoveling snow. I will miss seeing her lovely smile and having our little chats in the yard. I loved her and will miss her dearly. It was my pleasure to have known her.
