Obituary of Florence Rozinski
Ms. Florence J. Rozinski
Herkimer - Ms. Florence J. Rozinski, 95, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 in Valley Health Services.
She was born in Herkimer on November 28, 1921, the daughter of the late Anthony and Aniela Piotrowski Rozinski and she attended Herkimer Schools. Florence was Employed for many years at Remington Rand, Univac, Cogar, and ICL.
Florence was a Communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church. She loved to cook and bake and was the chief chef for her family's holiday and birthday meals. She especially loved baking creative birthday cakes for the children and her family will always have wonderful memories of these very special occasions. Florence was also a very talented seamstress and made many of her own clothes .
Florence is survived by her godson and nephew, Gary and his wife, Lee Slopka of Ilion; her great nephew, Christoper Slopka and his wife, Tiffany of Herkimer; her great niece, Alexandra Slopka and her fiance' Brian Dillon of Fairfield; her great-great nieces, Kaylee and Paislee Slopka of Herkimer; her goddaughter, Pat Conde of Herkimer, special cousins Eileen Schack of Herkimer and her brother Mark Szarejko of Florida and several other cousins. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Joseph Slopka, her sister, Wanda Rozinski and her close friend and cousin, Jennie Szarejko.
Her funeral will be held at 9:00 AM, Saturday October 28, 2017 in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, S. Main St., Herkimer where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Quy Vo. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
Florence's family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Valley Health Services for their loving care and kindness over the past two years.
