Mary A. Tesoriere
Frankfort - Mary A. Tesoriere, 90 years, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017, peacefully in her home.
She was born on Monday, January 10, 1927 in Frankfort, the daughter of the late Anthony and Rosalie Marconi Sgroi. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort High School. She was married to Anthony J. Tesoriere on October 4, 1947 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Mr. Tesoriere passed away on May 8, 2003. Mary was employed as an inspector at Univac, Ilion & Utica Plants, until her retirement on January 10, 1977. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Desperados, Young at Heart Senior Citizens, Moose Lodge Aux, St. Francis Aux. and served as the Queen of the Red Hat Society.
Mary is survived by her son and daughter in law, Joseph and Lorraine Tesoriere of Saratoga Springs; one daughter, Rosanne Tesoriere of Schuyler: her grandchildren, Nicholas Brown, Laura and her husband, Howard Layer, Andrea Peck and Rachel Peck; four great grandchildren, Cecelia Brown, Justin Layer, Isabelle Layer and Alessandra Layer and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her three sisters, Josephine Wafful, Nancy Diliberto and Jennie LaValla.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 9:45 from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena, pastor. Entombment will be Calvary Cemetery. Call hours will be Tuesday from 4-8pm at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
Members of the Young at Heart will meet Tuesday at 4:15 at the funeral home for services.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
