Mr. Paul C. Rauscher
Frankfort – Mr. Paul C. Rauscher, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
He was born on Tuesday, October 3, 1944 in New Hartford, the son of the late Everett and Kathryn Hesler Rauscher. He attended Westmoreland schools and graduated from Westmoreland High School with the class of 1964. Following his graduation, Paul enlisted in the US Army and served in Vietnam with the Green Berets. Paul was married to Stephanie Rauscher on October 31, 1981 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Paul was employed as a Programing Specialist at Upstate Cerebral Palsy until his retirement in 2013 after 25 years of dedicated service. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Crestview Acres Association.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie Rauscher; his son, Nick Rauscher of Frankfort; one sister, Suzanne Hill and her companion, Howdy Veihdeffer of Hyde, PA; his in laws, Julie Emmett of New York Mills, Mary and Anthony Grasso of Frankfort and Lynne and Christopher Grates of NC; his beloved feline, Onyx; his constant canine companion, Molly River Karma and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his step father, Albert Armstrong; his brothers in law, Louie Cecconi and John Emmett; his mother in law, Marie Dybas and his grandfather in law, Nick "Poppy" Lille.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 21st at 9:45 AM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena, pastor. Spring Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 20th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
