James M. King

Frankfort - Mr. James M. King, 59, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Brooklyn on July 2, 1958, the son of the late Patrick and Margaret Flemming King and he attended Brooklyn schools. He was married to Tamara Minasova in Brooklyn. James was employed as an Enforcement Officer with the Sanitation Dept for the City Of New York for many years. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort.

James is survived by his beloved wife, Tamara of Frankfort; his son, James King at home; his step-sons, Alexander Minasova of Frankfort and Dimitri Minasova of Russia; two grandchildren, Oxsanna and Vlad; his nieces and nephews, Theresa, Patti Ann, Tom and Christopher "Sonny"; his sisters in law, Patricia King and Deanna King and his childhood friend, John Johnson of New York City and Marty Quinn and his wife, Betty of West Winfield. He was predeceased by his brothers, Patrick King and Christopher King.

A memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church on Saturday, April 14th at 10:00 AM. A lunch reception will follow. In keeping with James' wishes, there will be no public calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in James' memory may be made to Tamara King for his son's education fund.
