Gloria, Steve, Adrianne and family:
I am so sorry about your loss. Steve was a true gentleman and kind soul
every time I saw him. At the last time I saw him, we talked about his demons that had been
plaguing him. I said sometime we could get together and talk. I have my own demons. we could talk
and commiserate about our crosses.
Though he may have lost this battle, he certainly showed me a path of hope he was
following and believed in. He showed me the spiritual life he was following.
Heroin is just an awful and mean monster. I am sure, God knew that monster and all
the good free will it robs from us.
I will miss Steve a lot. He was good to everyone. and a real person that could show God's
Loving truth and generous charity.
The world is that less beautiful because Steve went home!.

Sorry for your loss of a great son ,brother,uncle... Steve was instrumental in my recovery. I was scared some ten years ago and he played his guitar and sang anything you can think of. I've never met a more friendly guy who's so sincere and with a loving heart. Not certain I will. Half my age, I learned so much from Steve

Adrienne and Family,
I’ve been quiet these last few days, because I still just can’t believe this. Steve was so happy and full of life, and will always be remembered as such. He never allowed anyone to have a bad day in the kitchen. He’d show up to work 25 minutes late, and when I’d call him in the office he’d smile and hand me Taco Bell and apologize for being late but “you know taco bell is the slowest fast food”.. he spent two years with us and always made us smile. He went from Adrienne’s older brother to part of our family very fast. I could never thank him enough for the things he’s done. I’m going to miss the random texts or Facebook tags about anything taco and Miami dolphins related.
I’m going to miss him not bugging me to name our next baby after Star Wars characters, but most of all I’ll just miss my friend.
I just want to add as a reminder how much his family meant to him. There wasn’t a day he wasn’t talking about you in some way... a trip to Virginia with you guys he was looking forward to, or how he was going to send flowers for no reason to Adrienne just because. He loved planning trips to concerts and shows. How Gloria, you still cut the crust off his sandwiches. “The Wizard” was going to play music with him. Please know he loved you all so much, and was so proud of the bond you shared.

Bit of a back story; Steve and I knew each other from the internet. We tried to meet up several times over the years, but it just never clicked. We'd drift in and out of contact like people do, no biggie. We had bonded over our interest in Star Wars. We actually wrote characters out in a role-playing forum based game with people all over the states and world. In 2016, I still remember my exact reaction when we started the ball rolling on on writing again. I got a text message from a random number- “Hey, is this still Tobias? This is Dahar.” (I was Tobias, he was Dahar, a Jedi Master.) And I remember jumping out of my chair in excitement in the CVS office. After catching up and getting back on the board- Steve went all in on the site. He purchased the board and migrated it to a new server- and since then we have had a reunion of sorts on the board. About thirty people had come back and started to interact in ways we hadn't before. Many friendships rekindled- and many memories are still being created. What was important to me was the late night chats we had and the stories we wrote on the board. I think we had stayed up until 12am with few others from the board- multiple times! We had a blast video chatting with each other over silly things. Not to mention music, memes, and life. I made it a point to snag a purple bandana for one of the video chats and he chuckled at it. I learned so much from Steve- and will forever be grateful.
Many of us are grateful to him for saving a childhood memory for all of us, and allowing us to continue this creative outlet. I will miss him, more than I can ever speak.
A few of the board members have stated the following;
1: "He will be sorely missed, I think I actually spoke to him a few times, he truly was a good guy and I greatly appreciated how he brought us back from the brink by purchasing the site in our time of need. My sympathies go.to his family during this time of grief and hardship, be at rest now Steve among the stars where you belong...the force was always with you and always shall be." -Simon, England
2: "There's no doubt that Steve is a huge part of why this community is still going. A few years ago, we had gotten to the place as a board where we had about five people still kicking around from time to time, one or two RP stories slowly being written, and a looming deadline for renewing our domain and paying other maintenance costs. Most of the staff had agreed that, while we loved the site, it was a ghost town and no one was using it so we were going to let it fade away.
Then Steve stepped in and kept things going. Not long after, a couple other users came back and things cascaded from there. While we're still a fairly small community, we're significantly larger and the RP a hundred times more active than it was then, and tons of great stories have since been told. I know I personally reconnected with some old friends and made some new ones as a result, which has even led even to some real-life meetups such as at Celebration Orlando last year. It's hard to imagine all of that happening without Steve.
It's terrible that something like this happened. Let's keep this community that he was instrumental in reuniting going strong as we remember our friend and admin." -Ian, Ohio
3. "Steve was a solid roleplayer who, back in the day, helped serve as a master to Adenna and as a frequent, hilarious addition to the site and roleplaying. He was instrumental in reviving this place which breathed in new life and brightened so many of our lives through the renewed connections and friendships we share now. I also remember his corny jokes and quirky humor in the Firesides we had and will miss that in the future. Let us all remember him on this site and never let his memory fade." -Travis, Texas (Adenna was his character and Steve wrote as her master.)
4. "Steve saved this site and saved something that has been a big art of my life since I was 13. I owe him a debt that I cannot repay and this breaks my heart so much. I know that he struggled with stuff, and his own personal demons kept him at a distance from most of us, but some of my fondest memories were him and I talking over google hangouts when I first came back and him breaking out his guitar. God he could sing, and his laugh was such a highlight to those few times we all got together.
Brother I will miss you, and I know that you are in a better place now. Where pain cannot hurt you, I look forward to jamming with you in the distant future. And cracking some great jokes. You are loved and sorely missed." -Tim, California
5. "I never knew Steve very much in person besides what his presence was on this site, but through that I knew him well enough that he'll be missed. As others have expressed, we owe him a debt of gratitude, and I hope he knew that. I hope he knew how much we all appreciated him. My prayers go out to his family in this crazy hard time. Steve was a friend to many, and we'll miss him." Hallie, Ohio
With Love,
Logan

You know when I first met Steven it was actually kind of funny because at the time me and my best friend Alejandro were talking about Tiffany Gonyea, one of Steven's best friends and we were just joking around about Tiffany and Steven came up to me and he told me not to joke around about Tiffany and then if Tiffany was ever going to get married it would have been to him because he was the man. I don't know Steven too well but I knew him well enough to know that he was very close to my wife Tiffany Gonyea, and I know that her loss is our loss as a family. So with that I say to the Zacaroli family, you have my condolences and the condolences of bailiano family and I will be making a donation in memory of a friend and a very good guy and we will be sending flowers. Words cannot express the heartache I feel for the family. I am so sorry for your loss. During this Holy Week, I see the heavy burden Steven must have carried that took a toll on his soul. Just as Jesus took up his cross and carried, so did Steven.
God knew the pain his son Steven was in. No matter how he got there, it was time for Steven to be at complete peace. That is where he is. In complete peace.
He was a beautiful soul. I always thought highly of him. A good person. I can only imagine the pain you must be in.
Please know, Steven is now in Glory with our Lord and Savior. He has just gone home. His soul and spirit are now free.
