Mrs. Marguerite “Peg” E. White
Ilion - Marguerite Peg E. White, 94, of Ilion passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Valley Health Services with her family by her side.
She was born in Lowville, New York on September 18, 1923, the daughter of the late Leon and Ruth Terrillion Edick. She attended schools there and graduated from Lowville High School with the class of 1941. She was married to the late Bernard Vincent White, Sr. on January 19, 1946 in St. Frances De Sales Church. Bernard passed away on December 10, 1967. Peg was employed by Bendix Corporation for 18 years, Allegro and later for LaSalle Industries, Herkimer until her retirement in 1994. She was a communicant of St. Francis De Sales Church, Herkimer.
Peg is survived by four sons and three daughters in law, Roy and Mary White of Mohawk, Stephen and Kimberly White of Surfside Beach, SC, Daniel White and his companion, Chrissy Wellington of Newport and Paul and Pamela White of Midlothian, VA; five daughters and sons in law, Joanne and Richard Morse of Staunton, VA, Beverly and David Oram of Nashville, TN, Susan and Keith Foley of Tacoma, WA, Colleen and James Rowe of Johnson City, TN, and Gail and Tommy Tate of Rockvale, TN; her step children, Karen Ford of Ilion, Ruth Connors of Herkimer, Bernard White, Jr. and his wife, Marion of Ilion, Donald White, Sr. and his wife Alice of Ilion and John White of Ocala, FL; nineteen grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by five sisters, Shirley Chambers, Sylvia Veitch, Millie Boback, Helen Berrus and Ruth Berrus.
There will be no public calling hours. Interment will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Calvary Cemetery, German St. Herkimer. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peg's memory may be made to Mohawk Homestead, 62 E. Main St., Mohawk, NY 13407.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY.
