Mrs. Carmelita L. Aiello
Frankfort - Mrs. Carmelita L. Aiello, 88, of Frankfort, passed away, Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at home with her family by her side.
She was born in Ilion on July 14, 1930, the daughter of the late Charles and Dora Chard Amato and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to James Aiello on April 25, 1953 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Jim passed away on August 1, 2006. Carm was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church.
Carm is survived by two sons, Anthony Aiello and Vincent Aiello, both of Frankfort; two daughters and sons in law, Sherri Aiello Evanchak and her husband, Michael of Frankfort and Paula and her husband, William Knapp of Syracuse; her son in law, Bobby Ruffule of Frankfort; nine grandchildren, James Aiello and his wife, Gina, Frank Frank, Ryan Frank, Michael Aiello, Bobby Ruffule, Austin Evanchak, Carli Ruffule, Toni Evanchak, and Vincenza Aiello; five great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two daughters, Frances Phyllis Aiello in 1954 and Gigi Aiello-Ruffule in 2016, her sister, Charlotte Coniguilaro and her brother, James Amato.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning, September 4, 2018 at 10:30 AM from the Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St. Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena, pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort. There will be no public calling hours.
