Barbara Martha Wheeler
Ilion - Ms. Barbara M. Wheeler, 72, of Ilion, passed away, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in Ilion on October 24, 1947, the daughter of the late Martha Wafful Guerino and she attended Ilion Schools. Barbara was at one time employed with Mohawk Valley General Hospital and was later employed as a Nurse’s Aide for Valley Health Services in Herkimer for 24 years until her retirement in 2009.
Barbara is survived by her two brothers and sisters in law, Robert and JoAnn Wheeler of Schuyler and Ralph and Tammy Guerino of Ilion and her sister and brother in law, Mary Ann and Glenn Piaschyk of Utica and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her step father, Ralph Guerino.
Her funeral will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Interment will be in East Schuyler Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort.
