Obituary of Anne M. Doolen-Martin

Mohawk - Ms. Anne M. Doolen Martin, 47, of 1 West Main St. passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, peacefully in her home. She was born in Utica on June 9, 1965, the daughter of Michael Doolen and Jill Young. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Herkimer County Boces Nursing Program with the class of 1992. Anne was employed as an LPN for Folts Home and later at Little Falls Hospital in the CT Scan Department. She was a devout catholic and attended St. Francis De Sales Church and Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church. Anne had a great sense of humor and was always putting a smile on everyone's face. She was a very compassionate and loving person and was always willing to help her daughters and others. Anne is survived by her mother, Jill Young; two daughters, Holly Martin and her companion, Justin Brunette of Herkimer and Alexa Martin and her companion, Patrick Cruger of Mohawk; three brothers and sisters in law, Darrell and Catherine Doolen of Ilion, David and Florence Doolen of Herkimer and James and Carla Doolen of Frankfort; her fiancé, Michael Penree of Frankfort; her two godsons, Darrell Doolen and Matthew Doolen; she was very excited to soon become a grandmother, awaiting the birth of her first grandson; she is also survived by her beloved canine, Bubba and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Michael R. Doolen on May 28, 1992 and her brother, Michael F. Doolen on July 21, 1976. Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 9:15 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort, and at 10:00 AM in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Lawless.
