Anna M. Przestrzelski
Frankfort - Anna M. Przestrzelski, 97, of Frankfort, passed away, Saturday, December 12, 2020 in St. Luke's Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in Schuyler on August 27, 1923, the daughter of the late John and Maryanna Rose Mendelowski Myrda. Her first school was a one room school house in Frankfort. She went on to attend Utica schools and graduated from UFA. Anna was married to Edward Przestrzelski on August 28, 1943 in Holy Trinity Church, Utica. Edward passed away on April 11, 2015. Anna and Edward were the owners and operators of Pretzel Acres Farm in Frankfort Center for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort.
Anna is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Gary and Mary Jane Przestrzelski of Frankfort and John and Monica Przestrzelski of Schuyler; one daughter and son in law, Joan and Nicholas Dempsey of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama; her beloved grandchildren, Benjamin Dempsey, Andrew Przestrzelski and Laura and her husband, Mark Wynkoop; her great grandchildren, Zachery Przestrzelski, Zoe Przestrzelski, Evelyn Wynkoop and Lily Wynkoop and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, Edward Walter Przestrzelski, Jr.; and one brother, Joseph Myrda and six sisters, Rose Myrda, Jenny Kenyon, Nellie Godlewski, Mary Godlewski, Helen Sharo and Mildred Myrda.
Her funeral will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, 412 S. Frankfort St. Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Due to current regulations, a face covering will be required and social distancing will be practiced. Spring interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort. In keeping with Anna's wishes, there will be no public calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anna's memory may be made to Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, 412 S. Frankfort St. Frankfort, NY 13340.
