Carmelina Minosh
Frankfort - Mrs. Carmelina (Norod) Minosh, 98, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 with her children by her side.
Carm was born in Frankfort on July 1, 1922, the daughter of the late Nicholas (Onoroto) and Mary Frances Leno Norod. She attended Frankfort Schools and graduated from Frankfort High School with the class of 1942. She was married to Dominick Minosh on November 24, 1949 in St. Mary's Church in Frankfort. Dominick passed away on February 10, 2016. During World War II, she worked at Sperry Rand in Ilion. After having and raising her children, she returned to work first as a library assistant at Frankfort High School and then as the secretary to the principal at Reese Road Elementary School, retiring in 1982. She was a seamstress, a baker, a homemaker and gardener. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort.
Carm is survived by her children, Donald of Frankfort and Rosemary of Herkimer; two fur babies, Cooper and Kylie and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Dominick who passed away on February 10, 2016; her siblings and their spouses, Dominick and Mamie Nurod, Michael and Anna Norod, Mary and Anthony Cirelli, Frank and Josephine Norod, Joseph Norod, Elizabeth and Alfred Barberio, Eugene and Elizabeth Norod, George and Theresa Nurod, Salvatore and Margaret Norod, SSgt. Samuel Norod US Army KIA WWII, Margaret and Samuel Shevat and Catherine Norod.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St. Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Per current regulations, a face covering will be required and social distancing will be practiced. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Funeral arrangmenets are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort. There will be no public calling hours.
Carm's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to her Home Health Aides, Becky and Karen for all of their help and kindness shown to her.
