Utica - Sharon M. Piechowicz, 78, of Utica passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in St. Luke´s Memorial Hospital with her husband and daughter by her side.

 

She was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on December 4, 1943, the daughter of the late Walter and Jewel Bea Watson Burrus. She attended schools in Memphis and graduated from Southside High School with the class of 1961.She was married to Marion Piechowicz on October 14, 1979 in Suffern, NY. Sharon was a Type Setter for Peter's Printing, Utica, for many years. She was a very active member of Richfield Springs Bible Church.

 

 Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Marion; one son and daughter in law, Edward and Peggy Kelly of  Walden, NY; one daughter and son in law, Amy and Ricky Farley of Jordanville; her step children, Lisa and Art DeFore, David and Tammy Piechowicz, Kelly and Joe Merluzzi, Lori Boone and Shannon and Justin Carhart; twenty one grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Gary Burrus. 

 

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Richfield Springs Bible Church, 17 Church St, Richfield Springs, NY 13439. There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort. .
