Therese A. Colwell

Herkimer - Therese A. Colwell, 59, of Herkimer passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in Little Falls Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born in Ilion, NY on December 11, 1962, the daughter of the late Edward and Patricia Thomas Champagne. She attended Ilion Schools and graduated from Ilion High School with the class of 1981. She was married to Richard "Skip" Colwell in Herkimer. Skip passed away on July 10, 2021. Therese was employed as a sales person for Continental Auto Parts, Little Falls for many years. She was of the Catholic faith

Therese is survived by Skip's children that she loved dearly as if they were her own, Skip's son, Brian Colwell and his fiancee, Patty Kaczorowski of Rome; Skip's daughter and son in law, Jennifer and her husband, Michael Dipierro of Herkimer; two brother and sisters in law, Michael and his wife, Dana Champagne of Herkimer and Christopher and his wife, Sandy Champagne of Niverville NY; two sisters and brothers in law, Mary and her husband, Peter Szewczyk of Ilion and Barbara and her husband, James Lincourt of Litchfield; her grandchildren, Joshua Dipierro, Mia Dipierro and Jackson Colwell and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, John Champagne. 

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 4-6 at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort.
