Charlotte Ann Durse

Frankfort - Charlotte Ann Durse, 85, of Frankfort passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022 in St. Luke´s Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born in Frankfort on December 4, 1936, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Sechal Cattat. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort-Schuyler High School with the class of 1958. She was married to Ernest Durse on June 14, 1958 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Ernie passed away on October 28, 2001. Charlotte was employed by GE Broad Street, her family business, Cattat's Florist and Fruit Stand and as Head Custodian at Frankfort Schuyler Schools for many years until her retirement in 2006. Charlotte was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of St. Francis Di Paolo Society Auxiliary. Charlotte's family was her most important part of her life. She especially loved to cook for them and watch them enjoy things she had made. 

Charlotte is survived by two sons and one daughter in law, George Durse of Frankfort and Charles and Tara Durse of Frankfort ; two daughters, Linda Kopczenski of Cassville and Debra Durse and her fiancée Pat Farley of Frankfort; her constant companion and sister-in-law, Georgann Chrisman of Frankfort; her cherished grandson, Ryan Durse; her nephews, Rick Plano and Cory Chrisman; special cousin, Janette Panoe; her very special friends, Mike and Marina Latella & family, Bobby Russitano and family, Alex Palumbo and Donna Kinney, Jack and Kelly Bono, Robert and Ellen Culver, Jim and Meg Filingeri, Andrea Bellino and family, Robert Daley and Robin Pflanz; her beloved canine, Geno and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Frances Kopczenski; her son in law, Frank Kopczenski; her mother in law, Constance Durse sister, Janet Cattat; one brother, George Cattat and her nephew, Francis Plano. 

Her funeral will be held Saturday morning, November 19, 2022 at 9:45 AM from the V. J.  Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, November 18 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the V. J.  Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charlotte's memory may be made to the Herkimer County Humane Society, 514 NY-5S, Mohawk, NY 13407. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

A very special thank you to her favorite doctors, Dr Constantine and Dr. Mian and the nurses and staff of St. Luke's Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her illness and passing.
