Carol L Crisino
Mohawk – Mrs. Carol L Crisino, 84, of Mohawk passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023 with her family by her side.
She was born in Herkimer on February 6, 1939, the daughter of the late Gordon and Arlene Reynolds Fike and attended Mohawk schools. She was married to Joseph A. Crisino Sr. on March 15, 1968 in Herkimer. Joe passed away on May 26, 2016. Carol was employed by MDS Herkimer for several years. For many years babysitting brought great joy to her life, and to the life's of the countless children that she cared for. She was a former communicant of Grace Episcopal Church, Mohawk.
Carol is survived by her son Joseph Crisino, Jr.(Melanie) of Mohawk; daughter, Laura Smith(Patrick) of Binghamton; her grandchildren (The light of her life), Anthony Crisino, Marissa Crisino, Carol Barker(Lee), Jenna Smith, and Beth Lalonde; her great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Steven and Cameron; two brothers and sisters in law, Francis and Ellen Fike and William and Linda Fike; one aunt, Terri Cugliandro; two sisters in laws, Mary Fowler and Beverly Fike and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter Christine Lalonde; one brother, Gordon Fike and three sisters, Barbara Gilbert, Rose "Pat" Currie and Beverly McKinney.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning, April 25, 2023 at 10:15 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 11:00 AM in St. Augustine's Episcopal Church 78 Second St, Ilion where a funeral service will be celebrated by Rev. Steve Scarcia. Interment will be in Mohawk Cemetery. Her funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY.
