Obituary of Cathy Lynn Daley
Cathy L. Daley, age 55, Mohawk, NY. Cathy L. Daley passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Cathy was born on June 3, 1968, in Utica, NY. She was the daughter of Jacqueline Daley and the late LeRoy Daley. She graduated from Mohawk Central School, attended Herkimer County Community College, and SUNY Institute of Technology. She is survived by her son, Cody Daley, her significant-other of twenty-three years, Bernadette Reina, and her beloved dog, Bella Reina. She is survived her family members include her loving mother, Jacqueline Daley, Eleanor Reina Tamburro and family, and her siblings Douglas DesJardins, Donella and Renny Tarbox, Daniel and Bonnie DesJardins, Ronald and Diane DesJardins, John and Lori DesJardins, Tracie Rosati, and Dawn and Randy Hunt, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Cathy is predeceased by her father, LeRoy Daley, 2020, her sister, Cindie Gardner, 2022, and her nephews Jasin Gardner, 2005, and Spc. Douglas "DJ" DesJardins, 2006.
Cathy could be found working in several area restaurants and spent many years at Heidelberg Bread Company. You could find her and Bernadette spending quality time at the casino and when her mother, Jacqueline, was M.I.A., they could be found having fun at the casino, stating they just went for a "ride." She also loved spending quality time with her son, Cody, watching movies, as well as taking her dog, Bella, for many walks. Cathy also found joy in bringing her mother, Jacqueline, her nightly treat of ice cream. Cathy was very proud of her sneaker collection and was well known for hanging on to the 80s style. Even though Cathy dealt with struggles many of us will never understand, through it all, she was a loving person and was well loved in return.
Her funeral will be held Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 4:00 PM in the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 at the funeral home.
