Doris Marie Foster
Frankfort - Doris Marie Foster, 91, of Frankfort passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023 in St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born in Utica, New York on July 22, 1932, the daughter of the late James and Frances Coram Ferguson. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Proctor High School with the class of 1950. She was married to Eldon Foster on January 1, 1954 in Great Neck, Pa. Mr. Foster passed away on November 24, 1988. Doris was employed as a Clerk for Chicago Pneumatic, Utica, N. Y. for many years until her retirement in 1989. She attended Asbury United Methodist Church and served as a trustee for the Frankfort Center Cemetery Association Board of Directors.
Doris is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Eldon & Debbie Foster of Schuyler and David & Theresa Foster of Frankfort; one daughter and son in law, Diane & Kevin Leegwater of Virginia Beach; one sister and brother in law, Beverly and Paul Gado of Brentwood, TN; her grandchildren, Jennifer & her husband, Christopher Lawlor, James Foster, Daniel Foster, Christine and her husband, Chris Turner, Michelle and her husband, Ryan Fehrm and David Foster; her great grandchildren, Ariana and her husband, Kevin Stadlander, Taylor and her husband, Sam Draiss, Corinne Matthews, Chelsea Matthews, Rylan Fehrm, Christian Turner, Daniel Foster and Emelia Foster; her great great grandchildren, Lilith, Wesley, Annalee, Koda, Levi and Loki and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her companion, Leonard Weiss; her brothers and sister in law, William Ferguson and James and his wife, Charlotte Ferguson; her sisters and brothers in law, Marjorie and her husband, Alan Covey, Frances and her husband, Donald Burdick and her brother in law & sister in law - Gay & Evelyn Foster.
Her funeral will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 at 12:00 PM in the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with Pastor Adam Coombs, officiating. Interment will be in Frankfort Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, October 6 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.
Doris’ family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center’s Special Care Unit and Section 3A, for the wonderful care and kindness shown to her during her stay and passing.
