Mary C. Bunce

Ilion – Mrs. Mary C. Bunce, 85, of Ilion passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 in Foltsbrook with her family by her side.

She was born in Herkimer, New York on December 25, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Mildred Lucy Macrina. She attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1956. She was married to Earl Hughes in 1958. Earl passed away in 2000. She was later united in marriage to Donald Bunce in 2008 in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church. Mary was at one time by Chirico’s Grocery Store, Citrate (P&C) as a clerk and lastly as a Sander for Hale Manufacturing, Herkimer, N. Y. She was a communicate of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church. 

Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Don; two sons & daughters in law, Richard And Valerie Hughes and Christopher And Cindy Hughes; one daughter & son in law, Mary Ann And Damon Clark; one step son, Scott and his wife, Kelly Bunce; one brother, George Macrina of Herkimer; her sister in law, Karen Macrina; eight grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Kathleen Macrina; one sister, Shirley De Forrest and one brother, John Macrina.
 

Her funeral will be held Monday morning, January 15, 2024 at 10:15 from the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc 203 Second Ave., Frankfort and at 11:00 am in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, S. Main St. Herkimer, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Bubiuch. Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery Calling hours will be Monday, January 15, 2024 from 9:30 until the time of services at the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Her funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY.
