Joan L. DiMaggio

Frankfort - Joan L. DiMaggio, 89, of Frankfort passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 in Saratoga Hospital.

She was born in Utica on November 26, 1934, the daughter of the late Peter and Agnes Webster Gleba. She attended Holy Trinity School and later UFA graduating with the class of 1953.

She was married to Julio DiMaggio on September 15, 1956 in Holy Trinity Church. Julio passed away on January 20, 2019. Joan was at one time employed by General Electric, Utica, Univac and later for PAR Technologies. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. 

Joan is survived by her children, Marlonna and her husband, Gerard Hubinsky of Gansevoort, NY, Katherine Custer of Halfmoon NY and Peter "Chip" and his wife, Graceann DiMaggio of Summerville, SC; her grandchildren, Cory Custer, Samantha and her husband, Troy McCullen and their daughter, Kinsley Rose McCullen, Stephen Hubinsky, Lt. Julio DiMaggio USAF, Christopher Bullivant and Carrie Bullivant; her sister in law, Violet DiMaggio of Frankfort and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Monsignor Peter Gleba, Father William Gleba and Infant Edward Gleba and one sister, Mary Patla.
 

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St. Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Her funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort.

Her family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Saratoga Hospital and Wesley Healthcare for their wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her stay and passing.
