Rachel A. Testa
Frankfort – Mrs. Rachel A. Testa, 86, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 in Sitrin Healthcare with her family by her side.
She was born in Frankfort, New York on January 13, 1938. The daughter of the late Nicholas and Violet Perry Ciallelo. She attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Simon Samuel Testa on March 10, 1955 in St. Mary's Church. Sam passed away on July 22, 2006.
Rachel worked for many years at Mohawk Data Sciences in Herkimer and in retirement was a Teacher’s Aide for West Frankfort Elementary School. Later became a Bus Monitor for Ryder Student Transportation. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and St. Francis De Sales Church.
Rachel is survived by one daughter, Regina Testa of Frankfort; three sons and daughters-in-law, Nick and Kathy Testa, Ronald and Debbie Testa of Frankfort, and Michael and Gina Testa of Richfield Springs; her grandchildren, Anthony and his wife, Jillian Testa, Gina Marie Brady and Michael Mueblig, USMC CWO5 Jason and his wife, Gabriella Testa, Ronald Testa Jr. and his husband, Nick Athanail, Sharilyn Testa and fiancé Carrie Petrotta, Samantha and her husband, Claudio Octaviano, Nicholas and his wife, Julian Testa and Jennifer and her husband, Todd Gookins; her great grandchildren, Santino Testa, Ty Gookins and Chase Gookins, and Tyleeah and Gabriella Testa; two sisters-in-law, Joan Ciallelo and Dolores Chuff, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Annette Testa, her granddaughter, Sara Jane Testa, and her brother, John Ciallelo.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning, July 30, 2024, at 8:30 AM from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort and at 9:00am in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena, Pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, July 29th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.
Rachel’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Sitrin Home’s Sequoia Residence for the excellent care and love shown to Rachel and all of them during her stay and passing.
