Ruth A. Dillenbeck
Little Falls - Ruth A. Dillenbeck, 72, of Little Falls passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born in Ilion, New York, on January 22, 1952, the daughter of the late Leroy and Thelma Rowell Mower. She attended West Canada Schools and graduated from West Canada High School with the class of 1971. She was married to William Dillenbeck on April 15, 1972, in Middleville United Methodist Church. Ruth was employed at one time by Duofold and later as the cook for Country Manor, Herkimer, NY, for 27 years until her retirement in 2018. She was a member of the Herkimer United Methodist Church, the Christian Women and the Eastern Star, Newport. All that knew her, knew of her love of animals especially German Shepards, cardinals, humming birds, and butterflies. She loved to host at her home, especially holidays, and to cook for everyone.
Ruth is survived by her beloved husband, Bill; one son, Craig Dillenbeck of Herkimer, NY; one daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and her husband, Corey Chrisman of Deerfield, NY; two sisters, Cindy and her husband, Robert Haynes of Little Falls, and Linda Asaro of Rome; three grandchildren, Shelby Puchales, Carmella Chrisman and Cassia Chrisman, her very special niece, Melissa Haynes and her daughters, Alexis and Hailey, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her nephew, Robert Haynes, Jr. in May of 1995.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the Herkimer United Methodist Church, 127 N Prospect St, Herkimer, where a funeral service will be celebrated by the Rev. Joelle Faulks. Interment will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be Friday, October 4th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.

Ruth’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Kim Lindsay, Donald Maxwell, Cindy Haynes, Ann Marie Lindsay, Marianne Dillenbeck, Dottie Perry, and Jordan and Joyce Leid for the wonderful support they gave during her illness and passing. They would also like to express their appreciation to Hospice for all their help during this trying time.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Ruth’s memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford, NY 13413. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
