Ilion - Mrs. Julia Kuba, 97, formerly of Cross St. passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Highland Hospital, Rochester.
She was born in Youngstown, OH on June 9, 1914, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Panko Litwen and she was educated in Jordanville schools. She was married to Myles Kuba on July 3, 1964 in Ilion United Methodist Church. Mr. Kuba passed away on November 25, 1998. Mrs. Kuba was a Seamstress for Merlle Dress Factory, Little Falls, Daniel Green, Dolgeville and retired from Felt Shoe Co., St. Johnsville. She was a member of S.S. Peter And Paul Orthodox Church.
Julia is survived by her beloved daughter, Stephanie Eisenschmid of Fairport; one sister, Helen Olsen of Tillson, NY; her sister in law, Stephanie Litwen of Little Falls; two grandsons, John Eisenschmid and Thomas Eisenschmid; her cherished great grandchildren, Kyle, Alexa and Seren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Frank Litwen on October 3, 2001.
Her funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 12:00 PM in S.S. Peter And Paul Orthodox Church, Main St., E Herkimer with the V Rev John Udics officiating. Interment will be in SS Peter And Paul Orthodox Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer.
