To the Celi Family,
My family moved from California back to Dewey Avenue in 1965. Our family soon became intertwined with the Celi family through my brother Nicky. As a young girl growing up, I remember seeing Mr. Celi as this strong, "larger than life" man!
I don't think they make them like that anymore...

Herkimer against Frankfort- fall of 1969, our QB handed the ball to our Full Back David Celi, he scampered down the field for a 77 yard touchdown. David's Dad, Sam, ran down the side line simultaneously as Dave was running and actually beat him to the end zone. What a great moment in time for a father and son to share together, and a great memory for me as well. I mourn with Dave and his family during this great loss!
