Ilion - Mrs. Agnes C. Salvaggio, 86, of 110 Morgan St passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester with her family by her side. She was born in Euphrata on January 6, 1926, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Sylvester Bongiorno and she attended Frankfort Schools. She was married to Enos Salvaggio on April 21, 1951 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Enos passed away on April 14, 1986. Agnes was employed by Derby's Sportswear and later for Univac Ilion & Utica Plants for many years. She was a communicant of Church of the Annunciation, Ilion and a member of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens and the American Legion Auxiliary. Agnes is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Santo and Jean Salvaggio of Rochester and John and Deb Salvaggio of Waterville; two daughters and one son in law, Mary Ann and Dennis Hoffman and Joann Salvaggio and her fiancée, Kevin Johnson all of Ilion; three sisters, Frances Bongiorno, Rose Bongiorno and Theresa Bongiorno all of Frankfort; her grandchildren, Amy and her husband, Kevin Faircloth, Jill and her husband, Thad Johnston, Michael Salvaggio and his companion, Lidija Hanzek, Justin Hoffman and his companion, Jill Whitney, Ashley Hoffman and her companion, Corey Bush, Brett Salvaggio and Trevor Salvaggio; two great grandchildren, Kelsy Faircloth and Mason Faircloth; her in laws, Mary Bongiorno, Betty Bongiorno, Mary Salvaggio and Martha & Frank Rossi; her beloved canine, Morgan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers, Dominick Bongiorno, George Bongiorno, Phillip Bongiorno and Anthony Bongiorno and one sister, Marie Clements. Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens will meet Tuesday afternoon at 4:15 at the funeral home for services.
