Herkimer - Mrs. Anne Bayzon, 87, of Steuben Hill Rd. formerly of Jordanville Rd., Jordanville passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in Valley Health Services.
She was born in Herkimer on August 2, 1924, the daughter of the late Alex and Anna Senko Hardish. She attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1942. Anne was married to Stanley Bayzon on September 16, 1950 in SS Peter & Paul Orthodox Church. Mr. Bayzon passed away on September 4, 2004. Mrs. Bayzon was employed by Univac, in the Ilion Plant until her retirement in 1965 after 23 years of service and was later employed with General Electric, Utica for many years. She and Stanley were co-owners of their family farm in Jordanville until their retirement in 1998. She was a communicant of S.S. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Anne is survived by her niece, Mary Jane and her husband, Mitchell Chlus of Little Falls; her in laws, Kate Kramer of Mohawk and Charles Witkowski of Ft. Plain and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Nanoski and Mary Mezik and five brothers, Nicholas Hardish, Michael Hardish, John Hardish, Harry Hardish, Frank Hardish and Charles Hardish.
Her funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM in S.S. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Main St., E. Herkimer the V.Rev John Udics, Rector, officiating. Interment will be in St Mary's Cemetery on Monday morning at 11:00. Calling hours will be Friday from 1-2 in the S.S. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church. Anne's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Valley Health Services for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her stay and passing.
Contributions in Anne's memory may be made to S.S. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Main St., E. Herkimer, NY 13350. Envelopes will be available at the church.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, Herkimer.
