Frankfort - Mrs. Mary C. Frederick Pearson, 92, formerly of 402 S. Litchfield St. passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 in Valley Health Services. She was born in Frankfort on December 18, 1918, the daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie Barrett Sharrino. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort High School with the class of 1936. Mary was at one time married to Stephen Frederick and on March 11, 2000 she married Gustave "Gus" Pearson in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Mr. Pearson passed away on January 6, 2003. Mrs. Pearson was employed as a Radio Tester for GE, Broad St. plant for many years and later for Herkimer OTB until her retirement in 1988. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Amen Choir, the Young at Heart Senior Citizens and served on the Frankfort Election Committee. Mary is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Steven and Geri Frederick of Frankfort and Ron and Stacey Frederick of Penn Yan; one daughter, Kathy Frederick and her fiancé, Craig Jones of Ilion; her daughter in law, Bonnie Frederick of Little Falls; her grandchildren, Jeff Frederick, Katie Frederick and her companion Dave, Steven Frederick, DJ Frederick, Joey Frederick and Jenna Frederick; one sister and brother in law, Catherine and Don Baker of Herkimer; her special friend, Madeline Lombardo of Frankfort and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three sisters, Rose Gelose, Susan Sharrino Annatone and Mamie DiMaria as well as two brothers, Frank Sharrino and Joseph Sharrino, Jr. Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St., Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the V.Rev. Anthony Barratt and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In keeping with Mary's wishes, there will be no public calling hours. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort. Mary's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Valley Health Services, 1W and to Hospice and Palliative Care for the care and kindness shown to her during her illness and passing.
