Ilion - Frankfort - Mr. Raymond J. DelConte, Jr, 46, of 99 Sixth Ave passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 in Mohawk Valley Health Care Center. He was born in New Jersey on December 4, 1964, the son of the late Raymond and Charlotte Culver DelConte Sr. and he attended Frankfort schools. He was married to Michelle Blaise on August 1, 1992 in Frankfort United Methodist Church. Mr. DelConte was employed as a Warehouseman for Casa Imports, Utica for many years. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Raymond will be remembered as a loving father who enjoyed attending all his sons sporting events even during his illness. Raymond is survived by his wife and best friend, Michelle DelConte; his beloved son, Joseph DelConte at home; three sisters, Joanne, Sandy and Linda; two brothers; Chuck and Terry; his fathers in law and mothers in law, Candy & Robert Adsit and Donald & Diana Blaise; Ray's adopted parents, Butch & George Gonyea and Peggy Bianchi; his brothers in law and sister in law, Joseph & Rebecca Blaise and Brian Blaise; his extended family, Frank Gonyea, Tracy Gonyea, Tim Gonyea and Don Bianchi; his nieces and nephew, Katie, Ally and Gunner. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward, his sister, Wendy and his stepbrother, Scott Gonyea. His funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 PM from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 2:00 PM in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the V.Rev. Anthony Barratt and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Raymond's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Mohawk Valley Health Care Center especially Kristen and Erin for the wonderful care and kindness shown to him during his illness and stay there.
