Our deepest condolences to the Mashtare Family. We where saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. With thoughts of sympathy when you lose someone very precious, no one else can really know all that you feel but please know that many caring thoughts are with you during this time of sorrow. Jerry was a great person he had a funny sense of humor, he knew how to make everyone laugh. We all had fun in the Matt apartments in the 70's and 80's and even later through the 90's. Herbie, Hazel and Grandma, we will all cherish those great memories of Jerry. He will be very sadly missed by all whoever knew him. May the God of all comfort be with you during this difficult time. Until we meet again Jerry.

When I think of Jerry, I am most drawn to all the time he spent helping others - from the time I first met him in 7th grade when he saved me from the local bully behind the school, to all the help and support he offered to his friends and family over the years. His desire to do what was right, whether it was easy or not, and the pride that he took in doing everything well, whether it be a small or monumental task, could serve as a model for all of us who are still continuing our journey through life. To Kim, Jerry Jr., Joe, Josh, and all Jerry's family - my heart is with you today and throughout the future. Life without Jerry will never be the same as life with Jerry, but through our actions as individuals, we can continue to pay tribute to him throughout the years to come.
