Just last week I was telling my husband what an amazing man Mario was, I had no idea he had passed. I was young when he was the pastor at our church but he had a great impact on my youth and the choices I made growing up. After my grandfather passed unexpectedly Mario came back to perform the service even though he had moved on from our church. It meant so much to my family and I have never forgotten it. Although I haven't seen him in 20 years I can just imagine all the other lives he touched. My deepest sympathies go out to his family. He will be missed :heart:

The Beaver Valley United Methodist Church was blessed to have such a wonderful Reverend. I thank god for the time we had with him. I was so honored to have him come back to speak at my wedding and as always, did such a beautiful job when he spoke. Joan and family,
We are crushed to learn of Mario's passing. Our only consolation is that he is with our Father, who he so greatly loved. The world has lost a good man, a Godly man through and through. Mario will remain in our hearts and minds, as he has since leaving Brownville. I still can hear him saying that "I am a child of God, and who would therefore come against me." Mario had a bigger than life character! When you met him you got to the impression you knew him forever. He enveloped you with his engaging smile and you walked away feeling you had been in the presence of exceptional! God had blessed you through the introduction and friendship of this truly lovable individual; no question why the Lord chose him for his work. We mourn with heavy heart for us, for the void he left. He loved his family deeply and passionately; he put up a courageous fight right up to the end, so we rejoice that he's home and pain free finally. Mario had a beautiful, kind, loving soul. He loved the Lord with all of his heart. His warm smile and eyes reflected that, as well as his walk of faith. He believed and preached John 11:25-26. What can one say about Mario?He meant so much to so many people. He always spoke of Jesus and shared his love for Him. If Mario was about anything it was about Jesus Christ and what he had done in his life and more importantly what he could do in ours. When he first came to Poolville he said "can't" was no longer in our vocabulary because we could do anything through Christ. What an inspiring man! We will miss him as I know his family will also.
