Obituary of Josephine R. Juliano

Frankfort -Mrs. Josephine R. Juliano, 99, of 109 Sheldon Ave., passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009, in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, with her family by her side.
She was born in Frankfort on May 11, 1910, the daughter of the late Benedetto and Josephine Bono La Parne and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Joseph Juliano in December 3, 1930 in St. Mary's Church. Mr. Juliano passed away on June 5, 1965. Mrs. Juliano was employed as a seamstress for Joy Taylor Dress Shop, Mohawk and later General Electric for many years until her retirement in 1976. Josephine was later involved with her husband in the family truck farm. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister and Religious Ed Teacher She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and former member of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens and the Addolorata Society.
Josephine is survived by three sons and two daughters in law, Joseph Spatola of Vineland, NJ, James & Geraldene Juliano and Benedict & Robin Juliano all of Schuyler; one daughter & son in law, Josephine & Rosario DiGristina of Frankfort; her daughter in law, Rose Juliano of Utica; her son in law, Charles Wilkinson of Cicero; three sisters and one brother in law, Florence Scalzo of Utica, Rose & Joseph Matranga of AZ, and Grace Pugliese of Utica; one brother Joseph La Parne of AZ; one sister in law, Connie La Parne of CA fifteen grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four sons and one daughter in law, Anthony Juliano, F. Joseph Juliano, Salvatore Juliano and Frank & Anne Juliano, two daughters, Benedetta Juliano and Betty Wilkinson; her daughter in law, Marie Spatola; two grandsons, Joseph DiGristina and Michael Wilkinson; three brothers, Dominick La Parne, Ben La Parne and Sam La Parne and four sisters, Mary Mangiali, Sophie Gaetano, Santa Reid and Elizabeth La Parne.
Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:45 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Alfred Lamanna, pastor emeritus and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 2-4 & 7-9 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
