We had only recently heard of Rose's illness, and were able to send some cards and talk two times with her before she died. Hearing her voice brought back sweet memories of a long-ago friendship, when David and Rose had worked together at Remington. She was a lovely woman, and we offer our sympathies to all of her special family. We pray that God will comfort each of you during this time of bereavement, as you share treasured memories of Rose's life. It was a privilege to have known Rose. Dear Phyllis and children of Rosie,
I want you to know I was at the funeral home yesterday for your Mom's wake. I've just had hip replacement surgery. I'm afraid I was in pain and I could not stand in line for any length of time. I am so sorry I couldn't stay.
