Herkimer - Mrs. Gloria J. Fogerty, 62, of Creekside Courts passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital. She was born in Herkimer on January 7, 1947, the daughter of the late George and Nellie Preston Lowell and she attended Mohawk schools. She was married to William Fogerty on June 12, 1965 in United Methodist Church Parsonage, Herkimer. Mr. Fogerty passed away on April 29, 2008. Mrs. Fogerty was at one time employed as a secretary for the Observer Dispatch and later as a baker for P & C, Herkimer for many years. She was a member of Mohawk Methodist Church. Gloria is survived by three brothers and one sister in law, George "Butch" of SC, Ronald & Barbara of Ilion and Paul of Mohawk; three sisters, Claudia of Herkimer, Linda of Middleville and Sharon of Rome; her sister in law, Patty of Ft. Plain; a special Niece, Amy; her great niece whom she loved, Madison and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one daughter, Joanne Fogerty on September 19, 1988 and her beloved canine, Willy. Her funeral will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. There will be no public calling hours. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer. Gloria's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to doctors, nurses and staff of the CCU of St. Luke's Memorial Hospital and Folts Home's 1st floor for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her illness and passing.
