Frankfort - Mr. Frank J. Aiello, 87, of 335 Third Ave passed away peacefully Friday, May 1, 2009 in his home. He was born in Utica on March 27, 1922, the son of the late Joseph and Antoinette Buccina Aiello and he attended Utica schools. Frank served during World War II with the US Army in the European Theater with the 575 Motor Ambulance Company and was Honorably Discharged on November 1, 1945. He was married to Harriet "Betty" Brunet on August 3, 1943 in St. Columba Church, Dothan, AL. Mr. Aiello was employed as a Driver-Mixer for N D Peters, Utica for many years until his retirement in 1980. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, a member of the Teamster Local #182 and a former member and Past Captain of The Schuyler Volunteer Fire Department. Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Aiello; three sons and one daughter in law, Frank A Aiello and David M & Dorrie Aiello all of Frankfort and Joseph J. Aiello & his fiancée, Debra Mennig of Oriskany, one brother, Joseph F. Aiello of Schuyler; his in laws, Henry J. Brunet, Beatrice J. Watts and Marion R. Brunet; his grandchildren, Danielle & her husband, Guillermo Mendoza, David & his wife, Jessica Aiello, Deanna Aiello, Nicole Aiello, Maria Aiello, Frank Aiello Jr and Joseph Aiello; one great granddaughter, Isabella Aiello and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Rose Scaparo and one brother, Louie Aiello His funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church,S. Frankfort St., Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the V.Rev. Anthony Barratt, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with full military honors. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort.
