I worked with Nancy at Slocum Dickson. She was a joy and a crackerjack nurse. I learned many things for this caring, compassionate person. Hard worker and dedicated. I will miss you.

To my godmother and a beautiful person, she and my mom worked together at Ilion Hospital for years. She was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. we shared the same birthday , and she never forgot to send me a birthday card. We would laugh about my son coming into her office when she was the school nurse and asking her if she had any food or to use her bathroom:) She is now with her mom and dad and her beloved brothers. Fly high with the angels, Nance, you were one in a million.

Such a wonderful lady and an awesome nurse! Nancy helped care for my Shawn Marie as a baby while working with dr. Kenneth Steele from SDMG....always a smile and kind words.......heaven gained a special angel!!:heart: my condolences to her family and friends.

I will never forget Nancy, one of my dearest friends for the past 75 years. Through our elementary and high school years we laughed and cried together and as co-workers at Frankfort-Schuyler High School we worked so well together. Nancy's primary concern was always for her students whom she loved. She was a dedicated school nurse who not only took care of the health needs of all of the student body, but she also helped them in so many other ways. Her ever present smile, compassionate personality, and love for people drew so many to her. I will miss calling her for friendly talk and for the medical advice she so willingly gave. Never did I think many years ago when visiting the nurse's office in high school that Miss Aversa would become a dear close friend to my mother. They spent a lot of time together over the past years shopping having lunch or just visiting as my mother helped her around the house. I can hear her laughter and feel her faith as I know she joins her loved ones and waits patiently for those left here to mourn the loss of her and celebrate the life of giving and caring that she lived.

Nancy and her entire family: Marty, John, Aunt Rose and her brothers, were the best family anyone could have. Her smiling face, upbeat attitude and love for the Lord, was the most uplifting part of any visit home. You will be missed, Nancy. Our loss is your gain for heaven is truly where your heart is. We are so sad by the loss of Nancy. She was a wonderful person and best neighbor you could ask for. She was a second grandma to our children. We loved her so much. She will be so missed.
